Tom Mayer - Tomiano
Movie Music Composer
My name is Tom, and my biggest passion is to find the perfect melody to every moment I experience - or to stories that are told by others. I take my piano where ever I go, to be able to immediately use my inspiration to create melodies and songs.
If you have an exiting film or movie projects, that needs emotions through music that fit 100 % to your intentions, then we should talk.
Who am I and what is my music about?
I am Tom, 29 Years old and come from the south west of Germany. I started playing the piano when I was 6 years old. Until the age of 18, I had classical lessons and played in many orchestras, among others, the Symphonic Youth Orchestra of Baden-Württemberg.

When I was 18, I stopped taking lessons, and started my own music journey. I wanted to find my own path. Since that, I mainly focus on Piano Improvisation in the style of Hans Zimmer and Ludovico Einaudi. I studied their methods and patterns and adopted them. I added my own inspiration and style - and combined it in the Tomiano-Style. My way of playing the piano is characterized by empathy and emotion.

My greatest passion is to set moments to music. Whenever I experience things myself, hear stories, or watch movies - I sit down at the piano and play the appropriate melodies.

An Example of Collaboration:
Developing a Soundtrack for a Clip about Taiwan for Zabination
Marcin, the founder of Zabination, created a clip about Taiwan, where he lived for 6 months. His mission is to create authentic and unique impressions of a country, its people and the culture. For this purpose, he wanted to have a special individual soundtrack for his clip.

Having this in mind, our collaboration was very close and agile. He showed me his rough version of the clip and additionally described to me, how he experienced Taiwan and what it means to him. These stories were very important for me. As I never have been in Taiwan, I need this inspiration to get a feeling for the country. Hereafter, I created a first draft of the soundtrack.

With this first draft, we started a kind of Ping-Pong: We adjusted the scenes of the movie and the melodies of the soundtrack until they both melted together.
The result was not a simple song, but it was a song that can only exist with this clip. Whenever someone listens to it, he shall feel Taiwan.

If you want to work with me, or if you just want to connect, I would love to hearing from you!
